Adobe Photoshop is one of the most used photo editing app globally. The software is servicing for almost 3 decades now. Each new version is having the new features to enhance your photos and graphical designs to the next level. Adobe Photoshop is available for Windows, macOS and iPadOS platforms. You can add many features and create new designs using the software.
We are in the world of emoji and we have been using it to show our expressions. But, have tried to insert the emoji is Photoshop? Well, inserting the emoji in Photoshop is not rocket science, but at the same time, it is not available directly.
You can insert emoji’s in Photoshop without any additional pictures or software. Since the release of OpenType SVG fonts in Photoshop CC, it supports Emoji. Photoshop CC is bundled with the EmojiOne font which allows you to add your favourite emoji to the designs and photos without any obstacles.
EmojiOne Color
Emoji fonts are an example of OpenType-SVG fonts. Using Emoji fonts, you can include various colorful and graphical characters, such as smileys, flags, street signs, animals, people, food, landmarks in your documents.
OpenType-SVG emoji fonts, such as the EmojiOne font, lets you create certain composite glyphs from one or more other glyphs. For example, you can create the flags of countries or change the skin color of certain glyphs depicting people and body parts such as hands and nose.
EmojiOne Color is an open-source color font built by Adobe from the EmojiOne artwork designed by Denis Denz and produced by Rick Moby. The font contains all of the emoji in Unicode 9.0 and includes support for ZWJ, skin tone diversity, and country flag emoji. – Adobe
In this tutorial, I have listed out the step by step guide to insert and make use of Emojis in Photoshop CC.
How To Insert Emojis in Photoshop CC:
Before you start to make sure, you have the Adobe Photoshop CC 2017 or higher versions.
Step 1: Open Adobe Photoshop and then open a new document or an existing photo in which you want to add the emoji.
Step 2: From the Tools panel, select Horizontal Type Tool and Click the cursor in the document or photo. The text box will appear with the sample text as shown below.
Step 3: Now go to the font chooser drop down and then type Emoji. Then select the EmojiOne font for the list.
Step 4: Once the EmojiOne font is chosen, a new window called Glyphs will be open with the Emoji (Bonus Tip: You can also open the Glyphs window from Window menu)
Step 5: Now You can just double click on your favourite emoji to insert the same in your document. You can also change the size, style similar to the font styles.
You can’t change the color, but you can insert the emoji with the skin tones.
