Microsoft has announced the official icon for the Windows Terminal app.
Microsoft has announced the Windows Terminal app last month (May 2019) which is a platform for all command-line tools and shells like Command Prompt, PowerShell, and WSL. It is one of the biggest and surprise announcement made during the Microsft Build Event held this year.
The Windows Terminal app has many features like multiple tabs support, a beautiful text which displays text characters, glyphs, and symbols present within fonts on your PC, including CJK ideograms, emoji, powerline symbols, icons, programming ligatures, etc and also it has more customization features. The new tool is already made open source, hence you can clone, build, run, and test the code from the repository on GitHub.
The app is now available for the early testers and the stable version of Windows Terminal 1.0 is expected to be released by Winter 2019.
During the announcement in the Build event, Microsoft didn’t share any official icon for the app. After a month from the announcement, Microsoft’s Product Manager Kayla Cinnamon shared the new icon for the Windows Terminal app on her twitter page.
