There is no trick or tweaks to be followed because Google itself providing the standalone installer for all desktop platforms. You just need to append ?standalone=1 to the default chrome download page URL.
The default link to download Google Chrome browser is https://www.google.com/chrome/ – If you navigate to the link and click the Download Button, it will download the online installer file which is nearly 1.5 MB.
The offline/standalone link to download Google Chrome browser is https://www.google.com/chrome/?standalone=1 – If you navigate to the link and click the Download Button it will download the standalone installer file, you can install it offline. The size of the file will be nearly 60 MB.
